On our way home from camp

Game Boy went to camp here this year. He was able to spend a week at camp in Kentucky and then he got a week here. He had a good time, but he liked the Domain better. (It's bigger, the 4-square rules are better, the hikes are better, there's rock climbing, the cabins are better, etc.) He had a good time and learned to swing dance (the girls voted him the best boy dancer). He loved swimming in Lake Coeur d'Alene, and liked the food and campfires. Here is a view of the lake and the docks. On our way home, there were lots of little popup thunderstorms and it really made the scenery amazing. The light was incredible. My little camera can't do justice, but you can get the idea from these.

I am a regular reader of your blog, but this is my first time to leave a comment. I really enjoyed today's pictures. I grew up on a wheat farm half way between Moscow and Coeur d'Alene. The highlight of my childhood summers was going to Camp Fire Girls camp on Lake Coeur d'Alene. I think your family is going to like living in Walla Walla!

Are you on Ravelry? I am wondering what your Ravelry ID is? Mine is kristieinbc (I married a Canadian and ended up north of the border).

Welcome!

I grew up in Kansas City, so I have seen a lot of wheat fields too. . The Kansas ones were flatter than these.:) The area around Coeur d'Alene is beautiful, and I suspect at some point we'll make it to Moscow since it's part of our diocese. Game Boy enjoyed camp, although he'll tell you his old camp was better. I'm trying to explain to him that he can like both.

We've really enjoyed it here so far. The real test will come once school starts.

I am on Ravelry. There I am cyclingkate. I have the same avatar as my pic here.
